Health Collaborative

The Derby Health Collaborative is a group of organizations in USD 260 that have come together to fulfill a common mission - to improve the health and wellness of the USD 260 community. A list with links to DHC member organizations can be found on the left side of this page. The DHC meets once a month.

The initial focus of the DHC is to support health and wellness programs for preschool age children and their parents/caregivers. We partner with Parents as Teachers to support USD 260's Wee Panther Pals program and provide fitness activities through the Derby Recreation Commission programs for preschoolers and their parents/caregivers. Continued community outreach will focus on supporting more programs, health screenings and education for all ages. A photo montage of DHC events is on our home page.

Please join us as we work together to make USD 260 the healthiest it can be! Sign up for our Derby Walks program, walk at least 30 minutes a day, and see how regular exercise can improve your life. Eat well, include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet, don't smoke, cultivate your family and friends relationships, and live as well as you can.

For more information on how to become a part of the Derby Health Collaborative, please see the bottom of this page for contact information.
